Help PWS Be A Part of the Clean Energy Transition

The PWS Economic Development District is looking to fill the position of PWS Arctic Energy Ambassador, a two-year, part-time position that will be based in Prince William Sound. Heat pumps, community small-scale solar installations, battery storage, building energy efficiency, and electric vehicles are all part of the equation for making a transition to clean energy sources and energy efficiency in Prince William Sound.

At the Alaska Energy Hub (established by the AK Municipal League), community and energy project leaders can find links to funding sources and other supporting resources for moving energy projects forward. Funding is coming from the U.S. Department of Energy and the Denali Commission to the Alaska Municipal League.

The PWSEDD has been selected to host one of thirteen Arctic Energy Ambassadors statewide. We are looking for a program coordinator to help track and facilitate community and regional energy projects in Prince William Sound. A position description is available here, please send a resume and cover letter of interest to the PWSEDD by January 15, 2024.
