Current Projects 2006/2007

Chenega Bay:  Construct an all purpose trail from Chenega Bay to Iktua Bay, continuing initial construction begun in the 1990s for use subsistence activities, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, ATVs, snow machines, etc.

Cordova:  Obtain a 100 ton marine vessel lift for the City of Cordova for general maintenance, engine repairs, painting for commercial and private boat owners.

Native Village of Eyak:  Assist in effort to develop a Prince William Sound Oil Spill Response team in Cordova.

Valdez:  Support Valdez Fisheries Development Association’s plan to build a cold storage/processing facility using waste heat supplied by the PetroStar Valdez Refinery.  This plant will serve Prince William Sound communities and the agricultural centers in the Interior.  This cold storage facility will offer cold storage, dry heated storage, loading docks, and other modern amenities.

U. S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration dock improvements for the Port of Valdez.

Whittier:  Uplands Development/Shotgun Cove – planning for approximately 600 acres owned by the City of Whittier and Chugach Alaska Corporation to become residential homes, a marine and community buildings.
