The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is a planning
document designed to facilitate sustainable, long-term, responsible
economic development, job creation, and overall improvement in the
quality of life of a particular region. The CEDS contains vital economic
indicators used to plan projects, leverage funding, identify local
affairs, and provide strategic direction for the development of a
region's goals.  Indicators might include geographic and demographic
information; labor force and resource profiles; infrastructure
assessments; local economy/business sector analysis; and quality of life
issues.  The CEDS should be updated in a timely manner to ensure data is
current and the needs and assessments identified in the plan are
relevant.
